i have the dell dimension C521 with the AMD 64 single core processor 2ghz
and a while ago my graphixcard went, i never replaced it i used the built in one in the motherboard (i think)
now my mother board has gone
im queit good with

As this is an older computer, good luck finding a replacement board for it. If you do, it will probably run you in the £100-150 range for the part.

As the title states, The DVD Drive of a Dell Dimension 5100C(slimline, low profile and uses a proprietary connector ) will not show up in BIOS, but it is working in windows, will read discs and all. However since the BIOS doesn't see it, I cant boot from it, and my external DVD-ROM drive is on the fritz.
