Garmin Gpsmap 60csx

I have a Garmin gpsmap 60csx and I am having a problem with the mapsource connecting to the device.?

I have downloaded a driver from the Gramin web page and the gps is now connected but it does not get recognized by the mapsource software. With or without the driver installed. Tried all 8 com's in edit/preferences. I have XP Pro. How do I get these

Don't Fret! Call Garmin Tech Support at 1-800-800-1020.
There is usually never a wait on the phone and they are very helpful. You probably want to ask to be transfered to the Software/PC Support team. Good luck.

I not too long ago upgraded towards GPSMAP 60CSx from 60CS.  I have been able to run the "x" through its paces and am very pleased.  The signal is excellent-- display in very fast time to opening position and good monitoring under tree cover, amongst tall structures, inside some structures!, and also from inside of a backpack or pocket.   I never ever go to a different city without the 60CSx packed with the suitable City Navigator data.  Looking for inns, appointments, eating, ...
