How do you upgrade a Road Angel plus?

I have a road angel plus and im paying about £2 a month, what do i need to do upgrade it. I think i have to plug it into the computer. Which i havent done ever, But my son thinks that you dont need to plug it in. Can someone help.

I have just brought one for a present. es you have to plugin to the computer to update it. you have to subscribe for so many months and keep it updated. As there are always new cameras out there.
