As you may know, the iBook G4 was the predecessor of the MacBook. I was wondering if the iBook G4 has the same programs a MacBook does (Safari, etc) Also, is the iBook G4 a cheap but good alternative for a MacBook? Or should I just buy a normal laptop?

But another poor soul being mislead by Apple hype.
You want to spend twice as much for a Mac as you would a comparable PC, then spend more money to modify it so its compatible with the software market? You end up with a Mac with Windows on it

Reset Mac Ibook G4 - Overclock.net - Overclocking.net

So my buddy came to me asking for help. He got a Mac Ibook g4 that was previously owned. When he tries to go to the software update, it asks for Administrator password. I've tried admin and administrator with no luck, I'm pretty sure its already been set by a previous owner. Is there a way I can reset this? I don't think he has the discs either. Thanks!
