How can you put downloaded programmes from BBC i-player onto a sony mp4?

Its a sony x series NWZ-X1050 16GB mp4 player

Your Sony will play them if they're in either WMV or mp4 format.

Not sure, but I think i-player programmes are automatically in WMV. You shouldn't have any problems - your Sony is one of the best players around.
