How do i get the sony NW-A1000 to play songs?

I have a Sony NW-A1000 player. I download the songs like im supposed to, but when i disconnect it from my PC and actually tey to access the files i just downloaded, it says 'No Songs. Conncect compliant software and transfer songs'. How do i solve this?

First you have to install the Sony Sonic Stage software, then plug in your player with the USB lead. there are various feature and functions which should be fairly clear. Its hard to explain on here, much easier to demonstrate.

I purchased a Sony Vaio and its been are real disappointment. The computer is packed with so much junk programs including Norton and various weird Sony programs that run in the background, slowing the computer down considerably.
