
Will the ninth generation Nintendo console have a different controller setup?
I've noticed,that every two big Nintendo console,the controls change.
The NES and SNES controllers were flattish controllers,with directional pads and . The 64 and Gamecube ones had analog sticks,along with directional pads.

it could be purely coincidence that theres a pattern. the nes and snes had 2d graphics so it employed the d-pad which was very suitable. the n64 and gamecube introduced 3d graphics and the d-pad doesn't have diagonal buttons so the analog stick catered
