does anyone know any good cordless home phones?

My parents live on a large property and walk around alot, the cordless panasonic phone they use right now only works a few hundred feet away, seems like the older phones worked better.

anyways, do you know of any good home cordless phones

Is it a DECT phone? I get good results with my Panasonic DECT 6.0 phone. Most cordless phones now days don't give you anything over a few hunded feet.

Cordless phone cradles look innocuous enough (!) but even they draw power all the time, whether the cordless phone is on them or not! Unplug them ...

Digital Spread Spectrum or DSS enabled digital information to disperse over several frequencies, between the base and the cordless receiver, thereby eliminating eavesdropping hassles. As the range of function of cordless phones increased, it became even more secure. Though mobile phones have surged greatly, landline home phones and cordless phones have matchless advantages. A remarkable advantage happens to be the voice clarity related with landline phones. In the case of mobile phones, voice distortions and changes are caused due to differing frequencies from the service provider. But with telephones, wired connection makes it more reliable, owing to the well-built infrastructure behind the functioning of the system. Voice distortions are completely eliminated in home phones, be it telephones or cordless phones. Cordless phone is much preferred as home or office phones, due to the convenience offered by it. It is almost like a mobile phone that gives great voice quality, coupled with the stability of landline phone. Anyone can talk over a cordless phone, while doing household cores, or walking within the prescribed premises. In spite of the separate handset, the wired base unit serves to provide strong connectivity, much like the wired telephone. Cordless phones can be used as intercom devices if a person wants to communicate over the handset and some station. Advanced technology has created support for over ten handsets per base unit. The telephone system, which at first emerged for audio transmission via electrical or optical signals, also served to offer data communications such as Telex, Fax and the dial up Internet connectivity. In fact, the telephone has become an indispensable part of work and home life. In addition the mobility offered by cordless telephones, an additional advantage of telephones is that there is no trouble of battery running down. Even when there is no electricity, wired telephones operate without the trouble of battery running out, and without interruption. Further, emergency calls are simpler from a landline, with regard to easy coverage and identification of the location. A landline connection in the form of home phones such as telephones and cordless phones are usually reliable and devoid of interruption. For that reason, they are mandatory for offices as well as house holds, even if additional mobile phone services are in use.
